National Football Museum exhibition

David Gold supports National Football Museum exhibition on the life of Sir Tom Finney

Popular Birmingham City FC boss, David Gold, has made a generous donation to support the exhibition to honour football legend, Sir Tom Finney.

David Gold said: “I am delighted that Sir Tom Finney is being honoured by the National Football Museum at this prestigious event. Sir Tom is a personal hero of mine. He is truly one of the greatest players of all time.”

The exhibition, which opens on 28 March 2009, will pay tribute to the footballing genius of Sir Tom, who played for Preston North End for his entire career.

David Pearson, Museum Manager commented: “We are very grateful to Mr Gold for his ongoing support for the Museum and look forward to working with him again in the future. The response to our call for support for the Sir Tom Finney exhibition has been overwhelming and is an indication of the affection everyone has for him.”
